UNICEF – Burundi

In August of 2018, Arete sent photographer Kevin Ouma, videographer Joseph Mwihia, and writer Reuban Kyama, to Burundi to gather material for a joint campaign on malnutrition between UNICEF and WFP.

From Kevin’s photos, we produced a photo film, slideshow for the media, and photo story, for use by UNICEF while promoting their activities around malnutrition. Joe’s footage allowed us to create an informative video which used motion graphics to make the concepts as accessible as possible. To accompany the written pieces, our Lead Designer, James Igsrove, also produced a number of graphic design pieces which explain the problem of malnutrition and UNICEF’s activities around it, both in Burundi and on a global scale.
