Arete generated press coverage and produced multichannel communications to raise the profile of Chance for Childhood.
Our highly experienced news photographer Karel Prinsloo flew to Rwanda to cover the visit of Chance for Childhood Ambassador Sophie Christensen and document the work of the children’s charity.
Karel took photographs, recorded audio, gathered case studies, produced an audio slideshow and wrote a blog for the small UK NGO, to raise awareness of the work they do in Rwanda and the plight of disabled children in developing countries.
Using our exceptional understanding of how to place stories in the news and our huge data base of journalists, writers and editors, we ensured the success of the project and generated maximum exposure of our material.
Working with the Director of Chance for Childhood, we arranged for a Guardian journalist to interview Sophie before and after her trip and they ran their story as a feature alongside the film and photography we produced. We also sent images to international wire services with a press release during Sophie’s visit to raise media interest.
Our work gave Chance for Childhood a tangible story that showed the impact of their project, which they could then share with donors and supporters.
Chance for Childhood were incredibly moved by the feedback they received from the Guardian article’s publication. Support was offered from all over the world. Someone even volunteered to row across the Atlantic to raise money for them after seeing the story.
The Guardian article was shared over 2,300 times.
