Cherie Blair Foundation – Guyana

Brief

Arete partnered with the Cherie Blair Foundation to show the success of their projects supporting women entrepreneurs in Guyana. One of the people they have helped is Candace Wickham, founder of Pro Care Therapy Wellness Centre in Georgetown.

Candace’s journey was shaped by her participation in the Cherie Blair Foundation’s Road to Growth and Road to Finance programmes. These provided her with the tools to refine her business, expand her team, and strengthen her centre’s reach. The childcare support offered by the programmes also helped her balance the demands of running a business while raising her family.

Outcomes

Through compelling photography and a carefully crafted narrative, Arete highlighted how Candace transformed her training as a speech and language therapist into a thriving centre offering a wide range of therapeutic services for families.

Arete’s storytelling using photography, videography and a written story helped to showcase the transformative impact of supporting both Candace and other women entrepreneurs; illustrating how Candace’s vision is creating lasting change for families and communities across Guyana.

Arete also created an animation to demonstrate how the project works.
