WHO – mpox

Brief

Following a rise in the cases of Mpox, previously known as Monkeypox, the World Health Organisation (WHO) asked Arete to help create an animation that could be shown at music festivals and similar public events across Europe over the summer months to alert people to the dangers of how Mpox is spread; and how to prevent it.

The video was needed in eight different languages and the animation needed to reflect the cross cultural nature of the different communities being targeted.

Outcomes

The final animation was two minutes long with a shorter trailer created for use on social media.

The video was translated into eight different languages and was used as part of a Europe-wide campaign, showcasing the ability of animation to disseminate complex information quickly to a wide audience.
